Age 89, daughter of the late Helge Frederick Foll and Alice E. Nelson Foll Smith.

Shirley attended Penn State Behrend. Shirley worked for GTE for over 40 years, retiring as a training instructor in 1987. She was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church, until the time of its closing, and more recently, she was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church. Shirley loved to travel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. McGill in 1983; a brother, Frederick Foll; and her stepfather, Edgar W. Smith.

Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Kalie and husband Patrick; two sons, James McGill and wife Susan and Timothy McGill; and a brother, Helge Edward "Red" Foll, all of Erie. She is further survived by ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
